BIOGRAPHY
Marilou Chagnaud (b. 1983, Montreal) is a visual artist based in York, working across printmaking, sculpture, and site-specific installations. Her practice explores spatial perception and movement through line, colour, and pattern. Using soft materials such as paper and textiles, she develops a visual language that shifts between two and three-dimensional forms. Engaging with both urban and natural environments, her works create a dialogue with their surroundings, unfolding as poetic spatial experiences.
Chagnaud graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence (2003–2008), followed by a Diploma in Textile Design from the Centre Design et Impression Textile de Montréal (2012–2015).
